Eddie's love for Rock n' Roll started at an early age. Just having moved to Brooklyn from Puerto Rico, he heard "Bony Maronie" by Larry Williams. That changed his life. He listened to a group called "The Jive Five", which gave him the idea of singing in a group. Several years later, I heard an Acapella group singing in the hallway of my apartment building. I got to know them and started mimicking their voices and softly sang along. They asked me to join them. They were "Tex and the Chex". Joining them helped me to understand the intricate nature of vocal harmony. They later were known as "The Five Burroughs". After moving to South Florida. I later became a member of the group "Legacy", performing at many South Florida venues and restaurants. This year, I was asked to join the new group, "The Four of Us", featuring Clarence Tate, formerly with "The Platters".
